Hey - Jim Shelton here. What an epic ride! A couple of my old guy buddies are doing something similar. One West to East and one North to South (on a mt bike). What is it with you guys?? Your Dad clued me in to this site. Good pics! We just returned from a week in the Willamette Valley - not exactly a real ride, but it was fun. I'd better get riding so I don't fall completely out of this group of wild men. Good luck!
Can't tell you excited we are for you. Keep it up but mainly be safe! Our kids in St Charles (out of Chicago) would love to have to stop and rest at their house if the timing works for you. They as everyone is in awe of your journey. Not fond of the idea of you being on the road by yourself ... know you will use good judgement.
